The surfactants in cosmetics and skin care products.
The following is the non-ionic surfactant . 

Non-ionic surfactant
Function: emulsifier
Non-ionic surfactant is the reaction of alcohol and fatty acid. The alcohols are Glycol ( Ethylene, EG), Propylene Glycol(PG), Glycerine(glycerol), Sorbitol, and Polyoxyethylene (POE). It can be applied in anionic surfactant and amphoteric surfactant as detergent. If it is added in cationic surfactant as well, the function of the skin care and hair products would be with cleaning and softening the skin characters.
1.      Alkanolamide
1.1  coconut fatty acid diethanolamide
1.2  lauric aciddiethanolamide, Cocamide DEA
1.3  Lauric acid monoethanolamide, cocamide MEA

2.      Amine oxide
Lauryl dimethyl amino oxide

3.      Alkyl polyglucoide
Alykyl poplyglucoside (lauryl poplyglucose, APGs)

4.      Polyoxyethylene type nonionic surfactants
4.1  Ether type
It is applied in the detergent for laundry and kitchenware.

4.2  Ester type
PEG-4-Laurate

5.      Sucrose esters
Sucrose fatty acid ester

6.      Span and Tween series
Atlas Company develops sorbitol type Non-ionic surfactants which are called span series. They add Polyoxyethylene (POE) to improve hydrophilic abilities which are called Tween series. Tween 20 is bad blowing agent, but it has fewer allergies. So they are often applied in baby care products.
