Eczema is an
inflammatory condition of the skin, the cause of which may be from outside environment, immune system, or a
combination of both. The basic symptom is itch. There are many period of the

Bathing and Soaks
There are three functions of bathing and soaks.

itch for a moment.

Astringent
properties on skin which is exudative

Prevent the bacterial

Water
Water is effective
for bathing eczematous lesions. It should not be too hot to avoid leaching of valuable skin
lipids from both normal and damaged skin. Water does not need to be sterile because it is uncertain efficacy compared with
ordinary water.
Aluminium Acetate
Aluminum acetate is a salt that is used as a topical
astringent to treat skin irritations. Burow’s solution consists of 13%
aluminium acetate. It is for
the relief of skin irritations due to poison ivy, oak and
sumac, rashes from allergic reactions to soaps, detergents, cosmetics and
jewelry.
Potassium
Permanganate
Potassium permanganate treats many skin infections, including
eczema, canker sores, dermatitis, and acne. The antiseptic and fungicidal activity based on its
oxidizing capacity. This dilution is essential, as potassium permanganate
crystals and concentrated solutions burn skin. Continued for
too long, potassium
permanganate can dry the skin.
